The sponsoring company's qualifications matter
as much as those of the individual.

When we
can help
CASES

  • You have recruited from abroad and need a certificate of visa eligibility
  • You are seconding head-office staff (D-7) to a Korean branch
  • You are inviting a foreign investor to obtain D-8 status
  • You are unsure whether the role falls within an E-7 occupation, or whether the employer meets the requirements
  • A previous application was refused and you need to address the grounds and reapply

How it proceeds PROCESS

  1. 01
Matching the statusWe identify the status that fits the duties and the purpose of the invitation.
  2. 02
The sponsorThe employer's revenue, permanent headcount, line of business and ratio of Korean employees are checked.
  3. 03
The individualEducation, career and qualifications are checked against the standard for the occupation.
  4. 04
Certificate applicationWe file with the competent immigration office and answer any request for further documents.
  5. 05
Visa at the missionThe certificate number is passed on so the visa can be issued at the Korean mission abroad.
  6. 06
After arrivalAlien registration and notification of the place of work are handled in turn.

For E-7, the ratio of Korean employees is critical. The number of foreign nationals you may sponsor is capped by your permanent Korean headcount. Check this while you are still planning the hire.
